Giving Blood to Support our Troops

People are always looking for new ways to support our troops The United Blood Services has found a way If you donate blood today you get to make a special addition to the Wall of Heros Maggie Barth Donor Recruitment Rep but each donor s gonna get the chance to write their vets name on one of these slips of paper and put it up on the wall of heros and we wanna keep it here so that people can see that the donors are heros as well as their vets Maggie Barth from United Blood Services is hoping for at least 50 donors today and she says donating for such a special cause will hopefully bring people out Brend Blazer Donor my father died last tuesday a week ago tuesday and at his funeral last friday we had military honors because he was a world war II veteran and the national guard did the flag ceremoney in particular it was very moving and I felt like I wanted to give a little bit back so I came today to give blood Barth says blood is especially needed around the holidays They hope to continue the Wall of Heros on Veterans Day and other special occasions They still need more donors next week you can stop by South 7th next week between 8 and 6 to help
