Search Continues For Stanley Man

Authorities are continuing their searching for an 89-year-old Stanley man who disappeared Sunday night They say it s possible Russel Kelin Key-lin may have headed east Debbie Kuehn has more You don t realize how small a car is until you re searching for one Mountrail County authorities have spent the better part of this week trying to track down a white dodge intrepid That s the car 89-year-old Russel William Kelin was driving when he disappeared Sunday night Sheriff Ken Halvorson Mountrail County About 6 40 Mr Kelin left his home here in Stanley to run a few errands And he went out to our local Cenex store C store Convienence store about a mile and a half from his home And he was going to pick up a pizza for his wife and himself Dale Kelin Russel s son My first initial response was well he may have forgotten what it was he went to do at Cenex and is driving around town somewhere so we ll find him shortly Kelin s son Dale says his dada is a survivor having come through a bitter winter in the second World War His main concer is his father s health Russel is insulin dependent and has a chronic lung condition Sheriff Halvorson So we were concerned so we basically started combing the area And then we went into Monday with planes searching the area And yesterday we had five planes up in the air We had help from the ND Highway Patrol on ground and in the air and from the US Air Force Dale We want Dad to come home safe but we need to know what happened If y ou think you may have seen Kelin or his white intrepid officials urge you to call them immediately Sheriff Halvorson I d like to find him he s a good man I d like to see him home In Stanley Debbie Kuehn KX News Kelin s family members say he does suffer from dementia and is a bit hard of hearing The phone number for the Mountrail County Sheriff s office is 628-2975
