Spring Rise on Missouri River

Citing the need to encourage the endangered pallid sturgeon to spawn the Army Corps of Engineers is planning to conduct a spring rise in the Missouri River Officials say the rise will take place in mid-March however they say there won t be enough water to boost flows again in May Officials in Missouri have urged the corps NOT to conduct the spring pulse because they fear potential flooding in low-lying areas The Corps does not expect that to happen
